Seuraavassa artikkelissa katsotaan kuinka voit suojata varusteesi hienorakeiselta pölyltä jota on vaikea pestä/puhaltaa/imuroida pois.

It Came From Beyond the C-Drive

Most of the times you are in a hurry and work on limited time. You select your photos to publish that at the moment look the best, but sometimes you miss some gems or with time you end up liking some more than when they were fresh OR you just use them to test your crazy new Photoshop ideas.
Just messing with 3D LUT -files. Hair posterization happens regardless of how little I push the colors - something to do with 40D's limitations capturing pure black/deep dark blue -mix.
These are some of those pics that now look good, but were overlooked back then... NOT perfection but something that catches my eyes. E-Recycling!

Just a little video

Simple video shot at the assignment meeting of photo group Valonkaappaajat.

Shot with the MKII/Sigma 50mm 1.4 combo. In a hindsight, I should have tried with 100mm with stabilization, but I am somewhat pleased with end results. This is mainly because it was my first video project and I devised it on the location.

Web-thing you should check out: Farbror Sid

Farbror-sid.se is a retro themed blog that concentrates mainly towards late 60’s early 70’s Swedish nostalgia fuel. Whole spectrum of the site expands much further than that, but it is that Swedish core that makes a trip to the Uncle Sid site such a interesting thing. Uncle Sid has a good eye for images that he selects to display and since he is a photographer, he has also camera gear related content. Check out this unique site at: http://farbror-sid.se/

Shooting of the Cherry Bomb

Camera and photography hobbyist group Valonkaappaajat recently had a small exhibition and to promote that event there was a contest on the Facebook.

Winner of the raffle had distinguished honor/misfortune to be photographed by Valonkaappaajat. Winner of was a girl who was into punk style. I and other three photographers set to capture her into digital format.
More after the break...

Nice cinematography!

Something interesting I found on the web:

Musicvideo for Scissor Sisters Invisible Light contains very authentic late 70s horror movie feel to it. Cinematography is spot on making for making this look like the real thing. Combined with imagery reminiscent of Dario Argento’s films and you get very intriguing 4 minute trip into some well produced madness.

Warning: Might be NSFW!
